THE TURKISH CUP - ANKARAGUCU HANGING IN THERE BY A VERY THIN THREAD !

Greetings Kankas and Kankies.

The match in Ordu just finished a few minutes ago and with a disappointing result for Ankaragucu.

Orduspor 1 ANKARAGUCU 2

This result leaves Ankaragucu looking for TWO miracles on the 27th of January.

1. Ankaragucu must beat Galatasaray at home.
2. Trabzon must draw or lose at home to Orduspor.

I can hear lots of tee hee heeing and ho ho hoing from some of you !!! However, we must never say never in footie.

The goal difference situation certainly favours Trabzon, and with a 9 for and 2 against are defo in the driving seat.

Ankaragucu on the other hand have a 4 for and 3 against.

Let's see if the team can restore some much needed pride on the 27th. It is long overdue !!

More details of team selection and scorers of the Ordu v Ankaragucu match tomorrow if I can find them.

All the best from Eski Kanka Jim

  2. Not much more to say about the match. However, the team formation was interesting -
    Senecky
    El-Yasa, Koray, Brabec and Broggi
    Cihan, Weeks, Adem and Metin
    Vassell and Bebbe
Surprise surprise..... no Mr Lentil !!!
    Also, no Serkan and Hurriyet.
2nd half subs - Barbaros, Murat and Ilhan
    Goal scorers Cihan and Metin

I have just read from ajanspor that the management has kicked out 4 players ( Volkan, Semavi, Barbaros and Emre ).
This clearly shows us that we still dont have a manager. There was totaly 5 players(Semavi,Elyasa,Hürriyet,Emre,Barbaros) out of 42 in our team who always strugles to win regardless of their daily form and unfortunately 3 of the has been kicked.
    And teh remainings are;
    Murat Duruer
    Baki Mercimek
    Metin Akan
    Koray ....
AS of today I definitely lost all my hope to our Tech. manager and Ümit Ozat.I also want to add that 2 term will be much more difficult than our expectations for our team.

volkan - you need to give the manager some time, these guys werent good enough and it shows by our league position. We need to reduce the amount of players in our squad. Players like serkan, Broggi, Elyasa, Hurryiet, Aydin, Adem are the players we need to build around.

Lets wait till we see who he brings in and if we perform onfield. You cant just give someone a couple of weeks mate lol

  5. I totally agree with Nadeem. Rome wasn't built in a day and I'm sure Lemerre fully understood the position of Ankaragucu before he took on this task.

His job is to avoid relegation. It's as simple as that. So, the sooner the fans get around to supporting him the better.

We have the players to do this, and if as Battle Damaged Kanka Damon suggests, the players re-find that 'fire in their belly' spirit, then I'm sure we can make mid-table at the end of the season.

However, for that to be a reality, we must have no slip-ups on Sunday. Diyabakir MUST be beaten and that is just the start to get the show on the road.

C'mon Volkan. Where's your optimism ??!! It is necessary to have this if you support Ankaragucu. You must know this !!

I totaly agree that the fans should support the Technical manager and the team till the end of the season. There is no doubt.
But if there is an opportunity to prevent the leave, at least for Emre and Barbaros we have to criticise.
And I would like to remind dear Nadeem that Emre and Barbaros were banned by our former manager and they have only played in a few matches and I have to confirm that they all did their best and were very productive and result oriented.
The bad results are basicly because of Baki, M.Duruer, M.Akan...Not Barbaros, Emre and Semavi.

    At the end of the day;
My Support is forever and not conditional.

    greetings to all

volkan i understand you been dissapointed loosing Barbaros and Emre. I wouldnt have sold Barbaros. But my point was that you were saying we dont have a manager and that you had lost hope for them.

Keep the faith my friend lol

We are not signing Appiah. The deal for Stejpan Tomas is on hold as we are talking to 5 other foreign players.
We have also signed 2 youngsters, one from Germany and one from Turkeys minor league.

Ive also heard Henrique has been released

I am glad that we are not signing Appiah. I still hate him from when he was on Fener. In fact, I would place him in my top five most hated footy players list.
