Teamen go down

Rizespor 0 - Genclerbirligi 1

An win for the red and blacks today away to what Udo Steven Bassey of the Turkish Daily News likes to call the Rize Teamen.

Going by the Anatolian news agency report it was a pretty good win too with lots of shots on goal and one great save by Jesus.

The goal came in the 54th minute after Erhan Guven had a go which was deflected by their keeper onto the post. The ball came back into play and Okan Ozturk found himself with an open net.

An away win is always good and the three points put us into sixth position in the league and only 4 points behind second placed Galatasaray.

As I write this Sir Eski Kanka is interviewing Maniac Kanka Harun in order to put together some sort of report on the Ankaragucu match. Sir Eski says he will write up his post sometime on Monday.

  1. Well done you Gencler boys. Winning in the tea country is not easy as the once mighty Trabzon found out recently.

However, don't hold your breath for an in-depth ANKARAGUCU report, because our meeting didn't take place due to an unexpected problem in Maniac Kanka's family which prevented his attendance.

I CAN tell you that ANKARAGUCU won 1-0 with a late goal (at last) from Agila and hopefully I can fill in the blank spaces sometime next week if I can get alongside Maniac Kanka.

Anyway, the main point is that the Ankara Big Two still have YooRo Footie in their sights !!!
