With Tavsanli also winning, it puts the situation in more focus.

It is true that Rize has not been setting the league on fire recently as they did a few weeks ago, but they are still a class side and Ankaragucu will need to be at the top of their game for the whole 90 plus minutes !
Eski Kanka Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00409300460469903974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19571982.post-27312972872566874812012-12-02T17:51:54.104+02:002012-12-02T17:51:54.104+02:00Goztepe have just beaten 1461 Trabzon 1-0 thanks t...Goztepe have just beaten 1461 Trabzon 1-0 thanks to a goal by Ali Kucik :-(

Makes things even more difficult for usNadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01426759805328711471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19571982.post-48336312369497400502012-12-02T17:34:04.505+02:002012-12-02T17:34:04.505+02:00Its worth mentioning after reading the Turkish med...Its worth mentioning after reading the Turkish media outlets today, the Ankaragucu fans have been praised for their loyalty and 2000 of them travelled to Bolu yesterday. At full time both sets of fans applauded each other and Turkish TV Also praised the Ankaragucu fans.

it makes a change to hear a positive story about the club. But if we remember back to the first game of the season, we gave them a good game and maybe deserved a point with the referee wrongly sending Timur off.

I am working next saturday so i wont see the game unfortunately, so hopefully damon can do the report. I though...Great report, as usual, from Nadeem.

I thought my school meeting was this Saturday, but it is next Saturday, so it seems I'll miss the Erciyes match. Perhaps Damon can do a report if he is going to the match ?

Damon and I watched the match in The Red Lion Club and we were relieved at the end just to win ONE point with Bolu looking the likelier team to score, and apart from that goal-line incident, Ankaragucu was hanging on towards the end.

As Istanbulafk said in his comments, and notwithstanding the Ankaragucu 'goal' at the end, the woodwork (and Gokhan) saved Ankaragucu from certain defeat.

I thought our defence was abysmal yesterday and if the Bolu forwards had been on target it would have been a different story.

So, I say ...... a lucky point for Ankaragucu. However, with a 3 league games unbeaten run and the players confidence growing, it must be all to play for against Erciyes next Saturday. I think Yilmaz done a decent job but he is inexperienced and we conceded to many goals under him. In credit to Yilmaz we played some good football under him.

But Kaplan seems more disciplined, and his 4-4-2 formation seems to work. It now gives Timur a partner up front in Sinan, and also Aytac at right back makes us more solid at Orhan always attacked meaning we left to much space at the back. I believe ever since Kaplan has taken over the players are now playing with fight and belief and go into every match feeling as if they have a fighting chance, before Kaplan the team seemed to go on the field feeling like they were a couple of goals down already. The performances have been over good this week now all Ankaragucu need is a couple of wins in a row to get some confidence and go on a run the 15th place team remains in touching distance and with the new manager I get the feeling that Ankaragucu will give it a real go.
