Ankaragucu won 2-1 at Bestepe in their latest pre season match against Etimesgut Belediyespor. They were made work for their win after going 1-0 behind earlier on. Goals from Mehmet Erdem Ugurlu and Emir Ozbey made sure Ankaragucu remain undefeated in their opening 2 matches of their pre season campaign.
Team - Turgut Kirveli, Orhan Evci, Volkan Geyik, Aytac Oden, Mehmet Tasci, Muhammed Gonulacar, Gurkan Alver, Kaan Kanak, Serhat Gulpinar, Mehmet Erdem, Umut Nayir

Results at this stage aren't that important, its about the new coach getting the team fit and prepared for the season ahead. The team were without the injured Gokhan Akkan, Bayram Olgun, Hasan Ayarolgu, Selim Teber, Levent Kale and Teoman Erkan who will all add something to the team.
It was reported earlier this week that Melih Gokcek has donated 2 Million lira to Ankaragucu and has agreed to help the management team. Mehmet Yiginer has announced he will continue to as chairman and run for president at the upcoming elections on the 3th of August. Its important that he lifts the transfer ban if he wants to see this Ankaragucu team challenge for promotion this season.

Latest Ankaragucu news !
Unfortunately we don't have any good news, instead same of the usual players leaving, financial woes, Cemal Aydin and the Gokeks blaming each other, the list goes on. Serkan Sirin became the latest Ankaragucu to leave the club after agreeing a move to Boluspor.
The winger never established himself as a regular, instead he was in and out the team due to inconsistency and injury. Technically Serkan is an excellent player, but he frustrated so many times with his final ball and work rate. We would like to wish Serkan all the best in his career with Boluspor.
The Ankaragucu management are still trying to put a plan together to raise much needed cash before the 4th August congress. Just this week it was announced that Ankaragucu will start the season on minus 6 points or face relegation to the amateur leagues if they don't pay unpaid wages to former players Robert Vittek and Jarioslaw Cerny.
The circus goes on and on.....
