ANOTHER MOUNTAIN CONQUERED FOR ANKARAGUCU

Greetings Kankas and Kankies.

It's not the best photo in the world, but ....... what do you expect at 5 Thousand Plus Metres ASL !!

This was sent to me by Gokhan Unal who some of you may remember as an infrequent member of the Kanka Group. He has also been a member of my Darts Team for 11 years and an active member of the Hash Harriers Group in Ankara.

Here is his comments from the summit ................

I should have mentioned in the original post that Robbie and Judy's trip to the top of Kilimanjaro is also up there with Ararat as another of our great achievements ! I think Chris put it into 'The Best Of' the Blog ?

The question is ..... who is going to take the Ankaragucu flag to the top of Mount Everest ???!!!

I am open to try Everest, but first I need someone to fund the losses I would incur for the year of training required and then the climbing permit fee and cost of the trip. All up? Should only cost about 100,000 dollars. Any takers?

    Hello

I live in Norway and will travel to Istanbul spring 2012. I saw a match between Fenerbache and Galatasaray in 2009 and want to come back to see another game in Istanbul.
I cant see the Schedule of fixtures for the 2011/2012 season.
Maybe you can tell me when the fixtures are due to come?

    Greetings from

Hi Eirik and thanks for contacting us on our famous website !

The bottom line is that the fixture list hasn't been released yet and as I write it is unknown when it will be released.

The problem is the alleged match fixing scandal which hit Turkey a few weeks ago which involves several Clubs, especially Fenerbahce and Besiktas. The investigation is still ongoing but we expect a decision soonish. We don't envisage the start of the season until early September.

I suggest you keep checking this website because as supporters of Ankaragucu and Gencler we expect these Istanbul teams to be punished and it will all be reported HERE.

All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
