No fixtures comments from me. I am fixed on match-fixing issues.
ReplyDeleteUEFA & TFF decision on replacing Fenerbahce with Trabzonspor in CL - wrong! As if Trabzon is not involved in the same match-fixing scandal.
In the same line of thought, UEFA accepts Besiktas in Europa League!
UEFA has a zero-tolerance policy? I'd say they have a "zero-moral standard" attitude and/or zero-brain.
Disgusting.
Dan
yes. all they want to do is protect their cash machine. and they are prepared to bully a local federation and ignore a judicial process.

what about the second set of fixtures spine ? im looking to get my flights booked for next may
ReplyDeleteSo, we have the fixtures for the 1st half of the season ......... Woopy-do !! Thanks for putting them up Steve.
ReplyDeleteHowever, don't expect an answer to your question yet Nadeem. Presumably there will be a mid-season (winter) break and the fixtures for the 2nd half of the season will usually be released during January. However, when we know the dates of the break, we can then calculate the matches for May using the fixtures for the 1st half of the season.
Another burning question ....... for the Ankaragucu v Mersin match on 10/11 September we need to know the date, KO time, and more importantly, the bloody venue !
Are we still using the 19 Mayis Stadium ? Will it be held in the Stadium from Hell ? Will Gebeci be used ? Or, will we end up in Saray again ??!!
Also, why can't I see the Fener and Beshiktrash fixtures in the Bank Asya League ??
and the answers to these questions are ..... ????
All the best from clueless Eski Kanka Jim
I've just found the winter break dates -
ReplyDelete18 December to 20 January.
So, I'm presuming that with the addition of the midweek fixtures in the 1st half it will go ahead.
Nadeem, now you will have to do some ferreting and find out when there are no league matches due to Internationals for January to June.
Then use the 1st half fixtures and calculate which matches will be on in May.
OK ? Gottit ?
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
I remember reading that The Fuzz have blocked use of The Stadium from Hell. I believe we'll be in 19 Mayis.
ReplyDeleteAnother point to iclude in the calculations is ...... will there be another 4 mid-week fixtures in the 2nd half of the season ???
ReplyDeleteI think we can discount Turkish Cup matches because they are usually played in mid-week.
Tricky eh ?
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
the last two seasons the second half fixtures have been released within a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteHonestly never anything straight forward in turkey
a think this explains it here, can anyone translate ?
Daha sonra play-off'a geçilecek. Ligi ilk 4 sırada bitirenler takımlar play-off şampiyonluk gurubunu tamamlayacak.
@Nadeem: Here's a rough translation.
ReplyDeleteThe Spor Toto Super Lig will begin on 9 September, and will enter the mid-season break on 21 December. The league’s second half will begin on 4 January, and the 34th week matches will come to an end on 8 April.
Later the playoffs will begin. The top four placing teams will round off the championship group. Even if the team placing first at the end of the 34 weeks comes in 3rd or 4th they will earn the right to join the qualification streams of the Champions League.
The team finishing first in the the playoffs, the league champion, enters the Champions League directly. As for the team placing third, they will enter the UEFA Europa League. In addition, the teams placing between 5th and 8th will enter a round robin like stage. The winner of that stage will play the team finishing 4th in the championship group. The winner will go to the Europa League.
