Hibs 1-0 Inverness

Hibs picked up the three points against Inverness at easter Road today however they did not have it all their own way.
Hibs scored from a penalty after only two minutes when the Inverness centre half stopped a headed cross with his hand. Steven Fletcher stepped up to score his forth goal of the season.
Instead of Hibs settling down to dominate the match they were at times played of the park by a very competant Inverness team.
Inverness had a good chance to desevedly draw themselves level when they got their own penalty however the villan from last week turned into a hero when he left a trailing foot to block a straight penalty.
Hibs play improved towards the end of the first half but it was still a very tight game.
No further scoring in the second half but it was pretty frantic with plenty opportunities, Hibs had the better of these chances but could not put any away to make our final minutes more comfortable to watch.
This victory put Hibs up to third in the league, Falkirk away in a fortnight after the internationals followed by a visit from Celtic.
As mentioned by Sir Eski Kanka, Hibs beat Queens Park 2-1 last week. This is the first stage in Hibs defence of the League cup. Their reward for beating Queens Park is a home tie against Motherwell.
