Another Highland Humping for Hibs

Inverness 3-0 Hibernian

Not much good to say about this game (for Hibs at least), Inverness were 3-0 ahead by half time and by then there was no real way back. Hibs contributed to their own downfall with some woeful defending however we also have to accept that Inverness were by far the better team on the day.

The second half saw a better performance from Hibs but some of that may be down to Inverness protecting their lead and looking to catch Hibs on the break. 'A bad day at the office' was Jon Collins assessment and it is hard to argue.

Incredibly for a team that score so many (Lets not look at the goals against column) Hibs have never scored in Inverness.

The most annoying aspect of this result is that just as we were pushing the teams in second and third we let ourselves down. Still plenty of games to go though and two cups to compete in. On Saturday Hibs play Motherwell followed by the League cup semi final against St Johnstone and then the Scottish cup against Gretna.

Plenty to look forward to in the coming week.

  1. Hibbie Kanka upbeat as ever (and long may it continue).

The Inverness match is now consigned to the history books. Lots of reasons to be optimistic for Hibbie supporters.

    Bring on Mothereffinwell !!
