GENCLERBIRLIGI SEE RED, BUT ARE NOT DERAILED !

Greetings Kankas and Kankies.

Genclerbirligi maintained their 5 points cushion at the top of the League after escaping from Denizli last weekend with a point.   According to reports, 2^nd placed Denizli was unlucky not to win the match, but the fact remains that Gencler remain on course to go into the winter break on top of the league where they have been since day one !

Gencler left it late yesterday in Eskisehir after seeing RED in the first half.   A goal just before the final whistle by Ahmet Oguz was enough to take all 3 points.

Team – Hakan, Ahmet Oguz, Luccas, Yildirim Mert, Alper, Selcuk Sahin, Yasin, Sessegnon, Deniz,  Nobre and Nadir

Substitutes – Bekir and Jailton

Yasin received his marching-orders in the 23^rd minute which would normally leave a team with a mountain to climb.   However, Nadir put Gencler ahead on the half hour mark before Gazi equalised shortly after the re-start in the 2^nd half.

Then with the match heading for a draw, Ahmet snatched the winning goal as time added on approached.

Denizli managed a 3-2 away win at bottom club Karabuk, so the 5 points gap remains intact.

Next Sunday Gencler face another formidable challenge when they travel to 7^th placed Adana Demirspor.   Returning from Adana with all 3 points will be viewed in awe by the chasing pack.
