GOING .... GOING ..... ALMOST GONE !!!

Greetings Kankas and Kankies.

There I was on the balcony this morning at 7am trying to muster up the energy and enthusiasm to start another school day Monday ......... and then .....

I picked up The Hurriyet and my mood was uplifted !

They reported that Istanbul BBS and Bucaspor are both after Murat Duruer. My reaction was ....... yesssssssssssssssss !!

For those of you with short memories, some of my key expressions to describe him over the past few seasons are .....

Huffing and Puffing and doing Nuthing !
A waste of space !
Flatters to deceive !

So, my message to Istanbul BBS and Bucaspor is quite simple .... Cabuk Gel Canims !!!

Watch this space for confirmation of the move - Inshallah !

All the best from Upbeat Eski Kanka Jim

    Dear eski,
yesterday night there was a football program in LigTV and our famous managers H.Karaman, Güvenc Kurtar and Giray Bulak has attended to this program. And during the program one of them said that there is a very skillfull young player named M.Duruer but he couldnot get enough chance to prove himself and all the others has supported him with such funny examples. And totaly they agreed that " with reference to the todays newspapers if M.Duruer get a chance to play in one of the clubs,Buca or İBB our leage will meet with a very valuable young player who will also serve to our national team in the future.
Should we cry or smile I really dont know.
These are our famous technical managers.

I see gencler have broken their transfer record (which is bit like Sir Eski breaking his spending record) on a Croatian for 2.2 million euros.

Is this a sop for Doll, or an actual sign of some ambition?

  3. Thanks for your comments Volkan, and I can certainly respect the views of Hikmet Karaman (I'm not familiar with the other two). However, if he was the one who uttered those words about Duruer then we will have to agree to disagree.

With all due respect to Hikmet Bey's knowledge of the great game, I would wager that I have seen Duruer play for Ankaragucu more times than he has.

The comments about Duruer's few chances are a joke ! How many hundred chances does he need to prove himself ??!!

I stand by original statement which loosely translated into 'acceptable English' means ..... Gule Gule Duruer !!!

PS .... If Duruer ever wins a full cap for the Turkish National Team I will wear a Besiktas top so that Maniac Kanka can take my photo !!!

ive only seen Druer play a couple of times. The first time i saw him was in the 3-0 home win against Galatasaray and i thought he looked impressive, the last time i saw him against fenerbahce as a sub and he wasnt in the game at all.

You never know, maybe a new club can help kickstart his career

Nadeem there is no confirmed info about Vittek and Rothen but it good to hear that the bargain still continues between the parties and our club is hopefull to reach an agreement to extend the contracts.
But it is obvious that incase Vittek reveals a good performance during the cup then we have to forget him.
And Hurriyet has agreed with the management to extend his contract for 5 more years.

  8. I saw in The Haber Turk yesterday (Friday) that El-Yasa has been transferred to Gaziantep and not Fener as I previously mentioned.

nadeem I have read the article issued on gecekondu web site. Its title is "second letter from Vassel" and in the article Vassel tell about the difficulties which he has faced during his Ankaragucu adventure such as how he has been kicked out from the hotel and his personal problems with the management and his concerns about his own security and asking to Turkish prime minister to survive.....
Unless it is a strategy to cancel his ongoing contract without a penalty to Ankaragucu I believe that his pyscology is not ok and It is better for him to take medical support instead of sorting it out byhimself.

thanks volkan, its sad how things have ended up with vassell. A deal that Ankaragucu paid alot of money for and ended up with vassell scoring 4 goals.

In the end its best for both parties if we both go our seperate ways
