Hakan Kutlu meets with Presdent Tayip Erdogan !

Hakan Kutlu met with the President of Turkey today to discuss the current situation and financial problems at Ankaragucu. The meeting took place at the Sheraton Hotel and lasted for about 15 Minutes. As yet we don't have any details of what was said. There was also other big news today which could see Ankaragucu handed a lifeline. Talks are on going for a 22 team Turkish Super Lig next season which would see the three teams from Bank Aysa promoted and joined by Ankaraspor. The good news for us would be that Ankaragucu along with Samsunspor and Manisaspor would remain in the Super Lig. More to come on this story later.

  1. Hmmmm ....... I recall being round this buoy before !

Without wishing to put a dampner on the euphoria of the possibility of Ankaragucu staying in the Super League, we have to look at the realities of that happening.

Under the circumstances, let's be honest and say that Ankaragucu got what they deserved this season, ie ....... relegation ! So, to throw this Youth Team to 'the wolves' in the Super League next season would be more than demoralising for these young lads.

Ankaragucu needs a season in the lower division to re-group and hopefully return to the Super League with a stronger squad, if, and only if, the financial problems are resolved.

Let's see what happens in the next few weeks and months.
