Gencler can now
be under no illusion how difficult it will be in this league as the season
unfolds. Last Sunday they received a
reality check from the league leaders who have won their opening 5 matches !

I was unable to
watch the match so I only have sketchy details.
Gencler took an
early lead in the 3rd minute when Moustapha Yatabare scored. However, that obviously didn’t unsettle
Eyup who found the equaliser 10 minutes later through Bruno.
Kutucu put Eyup
ahead 10 mimutes later, and that’s how it stayed until the half time whistle.
Bruno added the
3rd half way through the 2nd half to put the match beyond
Gencler.

Kaloglu Bey, now has one week to prepare for yet another difficult match away
to Bandirma who are lurking one point behind Gencler.
Despite losing
against Eyupspor, Gencler retain their 3rd top position in the
league, due mainly to 2nd top Manisa drawing away in Giresun (which
I predicted might happen last week !!).
It’s looking
very tight in the top half of the league with 6 teams in a position to replace
Manisa. So, everything to play for
next Sunday when Gencler travel to Bandirma.
