Umit Kurt signs for Sivasspor !

Ankaragucu defender Umit Kurt tonight signed for Super Lig side Sivasspor worth 300,000 Turkish Lira. The towering defender has been a stand out in a struggling Ankaragucu side this season and his performances haven't went unnoticed. It is a huge blow for the club to lose a player of Umit's quality and if the management team dont remove the transfer ban then the club have no hope of survival.

Umit scored on his full debut nearly 3 years ago in a 4-1 win at Istanbul BBS. He has established himself as a first team regular under Hakan Kutlu, Yilmaz Ozlem and now Mustafa Kaplan. The Round Ball in Ankara would like to wish Umit all the best at your new club.

In other news Mert Erdogan and Kaan Kanak will be paid in instalments the outstanding payments they are owed by the club. Mustafa Kaplan has also confirmed tonight that the club will invite foreign players to the Antalya training camp incase the transfer ban is lifted.

  1. If the transfer ban is lifted ............ paying in instalments ........ struggling Ankaragucu side ......... Is this the rhetoric which is going to used to entice foreign players to join the Club ??!!

Also, it will still be fresh in the minds of foreign players the way others have been treated, ie, Darius Vassel, Bebe, Roman, just to name a few !!!

Let's not hold our breath !

  2. We know Ankaragucu are in dire straits to have reduced Eski Kanka to this level of cynicism. I completely agree with him though.
