Greetings Kankas and Kankies.
The second piece of silverware duly arrived back at Easter Road Stadium on Sunday when Hibernian Ladies defeated Glasgow City 5-1 in the Ladies Scottish FA Cup Final in Perth. Surprise surprise, Kim Little scored 2 in what was one way traffic in the 2nd half with Glasgow City a well beaten team at the end.
I don't recall if I mentioned the first piece of silverware which Hibs won 2 months ago against Kilmarnock (coincidentally by the same scoreline !) when the CIS Scottish League Cup returned to Easter Road after an absence of 16 years ?? I did ! Ooooops ....... my apologies for repeating myself !!
So, the Ladies are now on to a possible League and Cup double. With only 3 matches left in the league, and 5 points ahead of Glasgow City, it is well within their grasp.
Well done girls. Any more room left in the Trophy Cabinet ??
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
The way your ladies are playing I hope all the trophies are based on the Ashes trophy. ie bloody small. otherwise you will have to start buying more club space... and we all know how mad British property prices are nowadays.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm good point Oz Kanka.
ReplyDeleteThe Hibs Ladies are playing away in Forfar tonight which should be another 3 points. So, with only one more win required, there may be another trophy arriving soon.
Therefore, perhaps Hibs should consider merging with Hearts and build a bigger stadium and bigger trophy cabinet ???
Only joking Hibbie Kanka - don't have a seizure !!!
I'm just surprised Hibs managed to find 11 ladies in Scotland - when I was there in the Navy many, many moons ago, we were hard pushed to find one!
ReplyDeleteHey Fish Head. That's because you were at the wrong side of Scotland.
ReplyDeleteIf you had taken the time to sail your ship through the Forth and Clyde Canal you would have reached Edinburgh where you would have seen stunning beauties like Kim Little !!!
