Ankaragucu - Latest Developments!

When Faruk Koca spoke at the clubs congress after he won the elections, he came across very well making some bold statements on how he has constructed "The Greatest Management in Ankaragucu history".

Fast forward a few months and it the same old lies and statements that Ankaragucu fans are all too used too. We are 14 days away from the season starting and the transfer ban still hasn't been lifted, no updates on pre season from the clubs pre season and the new jerseys still haven't been announced.

The biggest news however is that the club have forced top scorer Torgeir Borven out of the club. The Norwegian striker wanted to stay with Ankaragucu but he was made train alone the last week only taking part in running sessions. Borven is now set to sign for Gaziantep for 450K Euros.

This is despite him having a 1.5 Million release clause. And will the club actually see any of that 450K? Or will it be the same as Alper Potuk where Faruk decides to let him go for free as a favour?

The club also look set to allow Suat Kaya leave the club for Boluspor. The young winger impressed on loan last season at Tarsus scoring 11 goals. He also impressed in pre season but the club will now let him move and instead invest in the older players at the club.

The signing policy makes no sense at all. Every player is 27 or above with most of them being in their late 30s. Even if Ankaragucu win promotion it will mean they need to sign a whole new team next season again.

It has been said that Faruk Koca and Emre Yildiz are forcing players out of the club that dont belong to certain agents or friends.

Sadly i have no hope for the future of Ankaragucu, its the same politics every season. Now we await Mustafa Dalci and his team taking the field against Tuzla in 2 weeks time..

Ankaragucu latest news!

Ankaragucu kick their pre season training camp off with a 0-0 draw against Sivasspor and then followed that up with a 2-1 win over Romanian side Viitorul thanks to goals from Borven and Ali Kaan. Most of the new signings we reported previously played some part in the matches and some of the academy players got a run out too.

On the transfer front Ankaragucu have signed Eren Derdiyok from Pakhtakor in Uzbekistan. The former Swiss International also had spells in Turkey with Galatasaray and Goztepe. Derdiyok now 33 is a powerful target man and should do well in Lig 1, but his rumored 800K salary over 2 years is a big concern. Especially when the club are refusing to give Borven a smaller amount of money to stay.

Also joining the club is Abdullah Durak who is 34 years old and signs on a free transfer from Rizespor. Another example of the short term transfer policy that has damaged Ankaragucu for years. Experience is an important factor when building a team, but it should be a mix of young and old. This transfer window has saw the club sign mostly players in their 30s.

The biggest news of the last couple of days came from WebAnka who reported that Ankaragucu wont receive any transfer fee for Alper Potuk despite Faruk Koca claiming the club would. Its another example of the lies Ankaragucu fans are told if this turns out to be true. Alper was under contract with Ankaragucu, the teams best player, and had other clubs interested. Why would Koca allow him to leave for free?

Stelios Kitsiou and Thiago Pinto are both set to leave the club for Izmir. Kitsiou will sign for Goztepe and Pinto will move to Altay. We wish them both luck with their new clubs. Also on their way out of the club is Ender Aygoren who has signed with Ankaraspor and Hasan Kaya who has signed with Ankara Demirspor.

Talented Ankaragucu youngster Berke Gurbuz claims the club didnt offer him a new deal and he now has offers from Lyon, Nice and Dijon in France. Suat Kaya who impressed when sent out on loan last season is also wanted by Ankaraspor. Ankaragucu fans however want the youngster to be given his opportunity with the club.

Finally, congratulations to Fatih Demir form the Ankaragucu Academy who has been called up to the Turkey U16 National team. Another exciting talent at the club.

Ankaragucu news roundup!

The biggest story of the last week at Ankaragucu was the announcement by Alper Potuk yesterday that he has signed with Caykur Rizespor. It was claimed a couple of weeks ago that Alper wanted to stay with Ankaragucu and help them win promotion back to the Super Lig.

Sadly that turned out to be untrue with Alper turning down a new contract with Ankaragucu to go play in the Super Lig. Ankaragucu will receive 500K Euros which will hopefully be reinvested back in the team. It is also believed Alper didnt want to play for Mustafa Dalci as both he and Borven were shunned by Dalci last season before Hikment Karaman came in and rejuvenated both players.

Endri Cekici and Stelios Kitsiou are also both believed to be looking for moves away from the club but Ankaragucu will only allow them to leave if they receive a respectable transfer fee for both players. Ibrahim Akdag paid his 90K release clause last week and has now left the club and is in talks with both Konyaspor and Trabzonspor.

Ricardo Freidrich announced on his Instagram that he has left the club. He spoke very highly of the fans and club in general stating that he hopes he can bring his son to a game in the future. Michal Pazdan posted a similar tribute as he also announced his exit from the club.

On a more positive note, Ankaragucu have agreed professional contracts with Academy players Arif Emre Eren, Kaan Cinkaya, Hasan Ozturk and Halil Acigoz all on 2+2 deals. All 4 have impressed in training with Emre Eren in particular tipped to play in the first team this season.

Belgian defender Elias Coubbaut will reportedly come to Ankara and sign a loan deal with the club which will be seen as a major coup for the club. The 23 year old has been capped by Belgium national team but has had some injury problems of late. He currently plays with Anderlecht but is looking for regular first team football.

WebAnka this morning reported that the club are in talks with Ankaraspor forward Erdem Cetinkaya. The 20 year old has been capped by the Turkey U19 National team and played 28 games last season scoring 4 goals and adding 3 assists.

WebAnka also reported the club have agreed terms with Ankara Demirspor GK Bahadir Gungordu on a free transfer.

Sinan Osmanoglu who captained Altinordu will also sign for the club on a free transfer and will likely be joined by former Eskisehirspor midfielder Huseyin Acar who will be an excellent signing for this level.

As always we will keep you updated with all the latest news over the summer.
