A bad weekend for Hibs getting beaten by our local rivals 2-0. Another goalkeeping howler, the amount of points we have lost due to our goalkeepers is unbelievable.
Anyway I'm not going to dwell on Hibs this week as I can not even say we played well and were twarted by the opposing goalkeeper, this week we were well beaten.
My weekend got off to a good start when Mini Red Card Hooligan Kanka Liam's school team played in a Edinburgh tournament. They won 5 matches and drew 1, a very good performance from the boys. A stat worth mentioning is that Mini Red Card Hooligan Kanka managed to play all these matches and only got pulled up by a referee once. It was a good foul as the other boy took a while to recover and then the hooter went so Oxgangs won that match 1-0.
As previously mentioned the game of the weekend was between AC Oxgangs and North Berwick. Mini Red Card Kankas brother Ciaran was playing in this game and contributed to a 2-0 victory to AC Oxgangs. This victory should at least secure second spot in the league and if other results go their way, maybe a league title.
It was an entertaining game played in a good spirit, special mention must go to the North berwick boys on remaining sporting throughout.
Hibbee Kanka
Hibs ? No comment necessary me thinks !!
ReplyDeleteHowever, some congratulations are due elsewhere me also thinks !
Congratulations to Red Card Hooligan Kanka Liam for going through the whole competition without so much as a yellow card. Is this a world record me asks meself ??!!
Also, congratulations to No Card Kanka Ciaran and his team for doing the impossible and causing the upset of the season.
Perhaps this was the first time that North Berwick, The Pride of East Lothian, have ever been beaten on the hallowed turf ??!!
