Greetings Kankas and Kankies.
As most of you know, Ankaragucu is currently in Austria at their summer camp.
Their pre-season friendlies programme was announced today, and here are the details -
11 July - Axams of Austria
13 July - Slovan Liberec
16 July - Slavia Prague
18 July - Freiburg
24 July - AEK Athens
26 July - Brescia
Hopefully the financial wrangle between the Club and Ceyhun, Santos and Iglesias has (or can be) been resolved. There is also a contractual problem with Vassel's transfer which will hopefully be resolved. We obviously need those 4 key players available to play !!
Also, if our two Austrian Kankas, Wolfgang and Christoph, are on holiday in Austria perhaps they can give us a report if they hear any news in the Austrian press.
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
So, I was at Karum yesterday and learned that the Fenerbahce store there has closed and will be replaced with an official ANKARAGUCU store.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info Phillie Kanka Jamie, but .... if you had been paying less attention to your Chicken Madras Curry last Wednesday night and more attention to Kaleci Kanka Tansu's conversation you would have found out about it then !!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, one of my student's told me the news on facebook, so the word is travelling fast.
Yes, at last a high profile shop in the south of the city. I for one will support it when it opens.
hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
ReplyDeleteAn update on the first two matches -
ReplyDelete11 July - Ankaragucu beat Axams of the Austrian 2nd Division 5-0.
13 July - Ankaragucu lost to Slovan Liberec of the Czech Republic 1st Division 0-1.
The curry was good. Also its hard to hear when connect kanka and rom kanka are debating something
ReplyDeleteYeah, I get your drift !
ReplyDeleteThey talk like Professors, and some might say, look like Professors !!!
Have a good holiday down south Philly !
Rom Kanka looks like a professor would look if he stuck his educated finger in an electrical socket!
ReplyDeleteTitter titter titter ....ho ho ho ...ha ha ha ....hee hee hee. Nice one Robbie.
ReplyDeleteAlso, he's usually quite 'positive' but sometimes 'negative'. However, he sometimes comes back down to 'earth' !!!
I read today that they've put the grass back at 19 Mayis...

Gday Kankas and Bloggers,
ReplyDeleteI'm an Aussie blogger and freelance journo myself, who often frequents this site for info on our Australian brigade.
Anyway I write for the Aust.442 alot and had the privelege to interview your boy Bruce Djite last week.
I thought I'd alert you to this as I wrote an interesting piece on him which was up on the 442 website at;
http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/107432,djite-im-not-splitting.aspx
Interesting to see his thoughts on a potential move to Croatian club Hajduk.
Cheers
G'day to you too Ben. Good to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the Ankaragucu half of the kanka group and therefore not in a position to answer your question. However, our webmaster, Oz Kanka, will be the man to answer your question as he is the Genclerbirligi expert.
Just as an aside, if he does go to Hajduk Split then it could be a good career move. They have a good Yooro Footie pedigree.
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
The result from Austria on 16 July -
ReplyDeleteAnkaragucu 2 Slavia Prague 1
Goals from Captain Ceyhun (penalty) and Cihan.
Not a bad result considering Slavia is one of the Czech Republic's representatives in the Champions League !
Next match is today (18 July) against German Club Freiburg.
