Gronigen 1-1 Ankaragucu !

Last night in Holland ended all square and a good result for us as Gronigen are a good side. We took the lead through Turgut Dogan Sahin after Bayram had saved a penalty as well. Looked like we were heading for the win until Gronigen equalised in the 94th Minute.

In transfer news we have had Santiago Vizio and Jose Augusto Sardon two Argentinian youngsters on trial, Both have impressed and it looks like we will sign Santiago. Dejean Kehler has also been on trial from Legia Warsaw. He is a Slovenian Centre Half and played last night as well.

Team Line Up

Bayram

Ugur Rajnoch Kehler Ishak

Santiago Adem Theo Jose

Ergin Turgut

Subs: Bilal, Kagan, Murat, Tonia, Gokhan

Still none of the big names like Vittek, Sestak, Tita, Serdar, Hurriyet have played. In regards to the new players, im happy we are looking at players but hardly the big names the Gokceks promised.

Agree Nadeem. A good result and unfortunate that we conceded a goal in the dying minutes.

As far as I'm aware, Sapara, Sestak and Vittek are all recovering from minor injuries picked up in pre-season training.

Also, there was a bit in The Hurriyet yesterday (Thursday) that Sestak will still have to serve a suspension when the league resumes (I think it is a 5 match suspension).

Forgot to mention that I watched the Gaziantep v FC Minsk match last night.

Very impressed with Antep's performance. 'Olde Boy' El Yasa had a solid game in defence and looks faster than he was as an Ankaragucu player ! My favourite, Dany, had his normal commanding game in the centre of defence !

They have lots of attacking options in Cenk, Olcan, Wagner and Popov. I just hope they don't play like this against us ?!!

Anyway, good to see Antep progressing into the next round of the Europa Cup.

  3. Jim, I made a similar comment about the Antep match following the previous post. Looks like it could be an exciting season again for Gaziantep fans this season.
