The close season so far has been very quiet as far as Ankaragucu are concerned. Stanislav Sestak as mentioned has signed a three year deal and young Bugasspor goalkeeper Bekir has signed for the club. Apart from that no deals have been done as of yet.
As you all know Hurriyet Gucer and Theo Weeks have returned to the club and will both be welcome additions to the midfield. Two other players have also returned in Roguy Meye and Tonia Tisdel. Meye is a forward who has played a handful of games, Tonia is a winger and yet to make an appearance.
Roguy Meye signed for the club from Ankaraspor nearly two years ago, but only managed two goals both in cup games since signing. Last season he was sent on loan to Paris FC. If Meye can recapture the form he showed at Ankaraspor and with the Gabon national team then we have a very good player on our books. He needs to be given a chance to show what he can do. He has power, pace and can score goals, everything we need as the video below will show. He looks a different player to the one who has played for Ankaragucu.

Tonia Tisdel is a 19 year old Liberian winger and friend of Theo Weeks. He was brought to Turkey by Ankaraspor and has had loan spells at Karsiyaka and Mersin just last season. He helped Mersin to promotion to the Turkish Super Lig. From what I have seen he has lots of pace and skill and will be a great addition to the team. Still young and has his best years ahead of him.
We may not be setting the headlines for bringing in new players but these four players will get there chance under Mesut Bakkal and he can bring the best out of them. Looking forward to seeing the players back in training on Monday.
Ediz will also return to the team from his loan spelll at Bucaspor.
ReplyDeleteEnder Yurtguven has said today that we will announce the signing of a Turkish based player. Names been mentioned are Mert Nobre and Filip Holosko from Besiktas. Serdar Kubilge from Genclerbirlig and Onder Hurmaci
Serdar Kubilge has signed a contract for Ankaragucu. Great news as we have beaten Besiktas to his signature. Im sure Oz Kanka will not be happpy at this.
ReplyDeleteGauthier Kanga Akale of Lens is also in talks with the club. He is an experienced Ivory Coast international.
Thanks for keeping us updated Nadeem.
ReplyDeleteVery pleased to hear that Meye is returning. I liked his style and endevour when he was with us before, but the only thing missing from his game was aggression ! Perhaps Mesut Bey can work on this weakness. If so, I believe that Meye can work well with Sestak up front, keeping Fatih as the third choice striker.
I am also pleased that Ediz is returning. With him alongside Rajnoch, Guven and Ugur, we should be able to plug some of the gaps that appeared last season !
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
Meye's return to the club has been short lived as he has left the club and went back to play in the Hungarian league. good luck roguy
