Ankaragucu trio set for January moves!

Ankaragucu trio Mehmet Erdem, Gokhan Akkan and Onur Atasayer could all be set to leave the club in the January transfer window. Karabukspor are rumoured to be interested in signing Gokhan Akkan and Onur Atasayer and both could play their final game for Ankaragucu on Monday coincidently against Karabuk in the Turkish Cup on Monday.

Even if the move doesn't materialise, its only a matter of time before the two youngsters make their move to a Super Lig side. Mehmet Erdem has arguably been the best player at Ankaragucu this season and is attracting attention from rivals Goztepe. This is a move that would anger the Ankaragucu fans as we all know there is no love lost between the two clubs.

Both Umut Nayir and Hasan Ayaroglu could also be subject to moves away from the club in January as the cash strapped club struggle to keep the lights on due to the financial crisis. More to follow...

  1. Aye, more sad days looming for Ankaragucu as 'the leaves get ready to fall off the tree'.

As Nadeem rightly said, Erdem has been a revelation this season and is the unsung hero of the squad. His departure would most definitely cause a storm with the supporter groups.

With Umut and Erdem gone, it is difficult to see who is going to score goals in the 2nd half of the season.

It is easy to point to Levent, but we all know that he has under-performed this season so far. He came on in the 2nd Half last Thursday and ran around like a headless chicken and missed a sitter. This has been his story so far this season. He can no longer blame the fact that he is returning to fitness after injury - that was months ago !!

I feel a Winter of Discontent approaching !!!
