Latest transfer news from Genclerbirligi is that Trabzonspor have bought Frederik Risp and Ayman Abdelaziz, two of of our best players.
The Swedish and Egyptian nationals are flying out to Trabzon this evening. No actual report on how much money we are getting but there were reports the other day that the deal would be around 1.9 million euros for the both of them.
The is very bad news (but news which we are used to as Genclerbirligi fans as Cavcav is always looking to make a buck rather than win trophies). Risp started every match this season and is one of the best stoppers in the game. Ayman is a quality player who was a good marshal.
Not looking good for the second half of the season. Let's hope these new Brazillian blokes are good.

Added to the loss of 2 quality players to Trabzon, I would be interested to know how many ex-Gencler players are now playing with the Istanbul teams.
ReplyDeleteAlso, on top of all the exits from Gencler, it seems strange that Gencler released Sedat to play for ANKARAGUCU on loan. Surely if Hikmet Bey considers him worthy of an ANKARAGUCU shirt then he should have been retained by Gencler ??
