Hibs passed up a great opportunity to close in on Aberdeen and second place after only drawing with Aberdeen at Easter Road.
Hibs dominated most of the game but a combination of poor finishing and a bad final ball in the last third of the pitch meant Hibs failed to find the net.
Hibs had Ivan Sproule and Dean Shiels back after suspension, Sproule on from the start caused havoc in the Aberdeen defence with his pace but the final ball left a bit to be desired. Shiels replaced Sproule for the last 15 mins and again showed enough to warrant a starting place.
That starting place could be available soon enough with Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson looking like they are heading out to pastures new. Both are loosing favour with the fans as comments, probably prompted by their agent, get up peoples noses. I don't think anyone would grudge them a better wage and a higher standard of league to play in, all people want is a bit of honesty from the players given a chance by clubs like Hibernian.
Anyway Hibs and Aberdeen get to play again next Wednesday in the Scottish Cup. Hopefully we will dominate that game as well and with a bit more inventiveness grab a couple of goals.
Hibbee Kanka
OK, let's put last week's result behind us and go on another Cup run.
ReplyDeleteJohn Collins has repeatedly said that playing away from home will not affect the style of footie played by Hibs. So, let's see a few goals on Wednesday. Attack Attack !!!
As for the question of loyalty, no more need be said, except that The Club is bigger than individuals !!
