Ankaragucu vs Gaziantepspor Match Preview !
Picture above taken from Fresh Soccer
Another difficult match this weekend as Ankaragucu travel to Gaziantepspor. Ex Ankaragucu captain Hurriyet Gucer and Elyasa Sume will both be hoping to get one over there former employers.
Both teams come off different fortunes at the weekend. Ankaragucu got another good result at home to Eskisehirspor as we drew 2-2 thanks to goals from Fatih Tekke and Serdar Ozkan. Gaziantepspor lost 3-2 away at Karabukspor and will be hoping to get back to winning ways.
Gaziantepspor have had a fantastic season so far, sitting in 4th place and looking good for a UEFA Cup spot. After a tough start to the season Kafkas Toulnay has done a good job bringing consistency and good football to the club. Players like Ismael Sosa, Cenk Tosun, Olcan Adin and Zurita are all top players who have enough quality to play on the bigger stage.
The last meeting between the two clubs finished Ankaragucu 0-2 Gaziantepspor, thanks to goals from Olcan Adin and Julio Cesar. We will be hoping the away team is as succesfull this time out.
Ankaragucu have a lot of injury problems with, Michael Zewlakow, Mehmet Cogum, Roman Bednar, Adem Kocak, Guven Varol, Marek Sapara all out with injury. Both Ishak Dogan and Stanislav Sestak return to the squad. For me this is Mesut's biggest test due to the opposition and the amount of Injury's we have. Lets hope for the undefeated record to continue. Im going for 1-1 with Jim's optimism pills.

If Gabric and Sestak are together we could even come out of Antep with a win--provided Zewi's loss isn't going to be too traumatic to the squad.
ReplyDeleteA trivial point, but according to the TFF, and my memory from watching the match with Jim at the BBB, Karabuk defeated Antep 3-2 not 2-1.
you are right damon, i got that bit wrong lol, cant even edit it i dont think, ill give it a try. P.S do you know why Zewy received something after the game at the weekend ? gockek was awarding him something

ReplyDeleteNaw, hadn't heard anything about that. I'll try to find out more about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm going for a 1-0 win for Ankaragucu (without optimism pills !!). Sestak to increase his goal tally in the top scorers list !
ReplyDeleteI'm going for 3-2 in our favor.
ReplyDeleteNadeem, looked for the report on Zewy but couldn't find what you were talking about. You have a link?

@Nadeem: Ah, Zewy received flowers and a plaque before the Eskisehir match to commemorate an end to his tenure with the Polish national team. Nice gesture.

ReplyDeleteSome bad news coming out of the club. Michael Klukowski is reported to want to leave the club as he hasnt been paid. Why does this continue to be a problem ? fecking pay the players if they have a contract Gockek!!!!!!!!!
