Greetings Kankas and Kankies.
The result of Ankaragucu's first 'friendly' match in Antalya yesterday ...........
ANKARAGUCU 0 Bochum 0
There was only two lines in The Hurriyet this morning, but fortunately we have Bellshill Kanka Nadeem in Glasgow to keep us up to speed with some details which are as follows -
Quote.... Hello Jim, Yeah i just saw that Cerny made his debut, Sapara wasn't playing along with a few others Ozgur and Senecky been the main ones, Bilal was playing in the team as well one of the youngsters. Unquote.
Thanks for the update Nadeem.
Next up is AZ Alkmaar tomorrow and another chance for Umit Bey to assess his final line-up for the BIG ONE against Buca next Monday.
In the meantime, there is an important match on Wednesday in the Cup when Gencler travel to Buca. A win for Buca would give them qualification from the group, however, a win for Gencler would really shake the group up and make the final matches on 27 January as the deciding factors.
Should be interesting !
All the best from Eski Kanka Jim
Gencler news: Failed doping test for Orhan Sam.
ReplyDeleteCavcav says it may be an error and his career shouldn't be ruined.
- Cem Can gets captaincy

Further details of the Ankaragucu v Bochum match from Nadeem .......
ReplyDeletequote More news on game against bochum, Young Tonia Tisdell the liberian midfielder made his debut along with Jarioslav Cerny, Ergin Keles and Ashoak Dogan" Unquote.
For Spine ...... You gotta be joking about Cem Can ??!! When he played for Ankaragucu he used to be posted absent for periods of the match, and I had to keep checking to make sure he hadn't received a red card !!!
So, how the hell is he going to be able to motivate 10 colleagues when he goes 'missing' ??
Also, I like my captains to be a 'talker' during the match and that is something I never saw when he played for Ankaragucu.
Let's see how it pans out.
Ankaragucu lost 2-1 against AZ Alkmaar today, Ergin Keles was our scorer. The team was minus the likes of Guven Varol, Ozgur Cek, Stanislav Sestak, Robert Vittek and Marek Sapara.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that has came to light is we now have 11 foreign players and we can only register 1. Does this mean 1 will be sold ???????
Stefan Senecky - Slovkia
Michael Klukowski - Canada
Michael Zewlakowv - Poland
Jan Rajncoch - Czech Republic
Theo Weeks - Liberia
Tonia Tisdell - Liberia
Marek Sapara - Slovakia
Jarioslav Cerny - Czech Republic
Stanislav Sestak - Slovakia
Robert Vittek - Slovakia
Drago Gabric - Croatia
The most likely ones to miss out would be Drago Gabric, we can cut his loan deal or Tonia Tisdell however i doubt we would let him train with us for 6 months and not use him.
ps anyone know anything about michael stewart ? see a bit in the hurriyet re him
nadeem
Stewart ran home. He was pissed off at not being paid. At the same time though he has not been fit to play a single match this season. No real loss, although I would have liked to see him play in at least one league match.
ReplyDeleteThe court has published the full text of its Ankaragucu congress decision.

Good point Nadeem. However, perhaps Umit Bey is planning on bringing Rajnoch into the centre of defence and drafting Guven back to the full back position from midfield.
ReplyDeleteWe saw Rajnoch have a stormer of a match in the centre of defence a month or so ago (can't remember which fixture) and also we have seen Guven at full back and witnessed his marauding raids down the wings in support of the attack.
The answer will be revealed on Monday when Umit Bey will obviously send out his strongest team for this crucial match.
