Ankaragucu vs Bucaspor Match Preview !

Image above taken from Haber Pan

This Weekends game see Ankaragucu take on Bucaspor at home on Saturday morning. The last time the two clubs met, the game ended in a 0-0 draw in Izmir. After the disappointing news this week of Michael Klukowski being the latest Ankaragucu player not to be paid, we will be hoping to get back to winning ways on the park.

This is a massive game for Ankaragucu, as a win over Bucaspor would all but secure our safety in the Super Lig next season. A defeat could see us and Galatasaray dragged into a relegation battle.

Bucaspor are back in the Super Lig and are currently lying in the relegation zone seven points behind Sivasspor. Some of the bottom clubs have picked up form of late and both teams will be hoping to take the three points. There last five games have only produced 2 wins, one over Gaziantepspor and last weeks 2-1 win over Karabukspor.

The main players who will be Buca's star players are Club Captain Musa Aydin a player who I've been really impressed with. The other is Torric Jibril an Eighteen year old midfielder from Ghana. Buca beat a lot of top clubs to his signature in January and he has fantastic talent. Ex Ankaragucu players Koray Colgecen and Ediz Bahtijarevic are also part of the Bucaspor squad.

Ankaragucu still have key players missing in Roman Bednar, Mehmet Cogum, Muhammed Turkmen, Michael Zewlakow and of course Michael Klukowski, Fatih Tekke and Stanislav Sestak but Guven Varol is welcomed back into the squad. Varol has missed a lot of games and before injury was one of our key players. It is a big boost to have him back in the squad and he will hope to play some part in the game.

After a disappointing defeat last week to Gaziantepspor where we deserved a point, We will be looking to take all three points at home to Buca. It will be a difficult game but I'm going for a 3-2 win for Ankaragucu.

  1. Thanks for the preview. I'll probably be the lone Kanka going to this match as the others all have work responsibilities to fulfill. Hoping that when I write the report it'll be a lot like the last one Chris wrote about Gencler.

  11. Harun,

Chin up. The "messiah" had not come last time we played Buca, had he?

I'll be wearing one of Marek Sapara's 100th anniversary tops to this one. That should more than make up for Eski's absence in the stands today.

  12. To my knowledge both Michal Żewłakow and Micheal Klukowski have officially departed MKE Ankaragücü and became free agents.

Who is going after Żewłakow now?

The former Polish international captain has returned to Poland and is awaiting offers from numerous Ekstraklasa clubs.

"Indeed I can confirm this information. But he's not signing a contract with anyone just yet. He wants to rest first, and then he'll ask himself what to do next – even if to continue playing – and if so, where. I already have indications of interest from other clubs in Turkey", said over the weekend, Tomas Suwary, Żewłakow's agent.
