Referee ruins another match for Gencler

The referees certainly haven't helped Genclerbirligi in the last few weeks and last night was no exception. At the same time though Gencler have also not been playing very good football and as a result of a combination of both factors we see ourselves slipping down the table.

Genclerbirligi 0 – 4 Trabzonspor

Met up in the Beer Bus with @pritchdan and later on @spinesideburn. Weather was a little cold but not too bad and whilst hopes weren't high we were looking forward to a good match. We didn't get it.

The match was ruined as a spectacle when Petkovic got sent off in the 17^th.

We had a free kick which Hursut was preparing to take. Players were jostling at the edge of the box as they always do. One of the Trabzon players sort-of headbutts Petkovic into the shoulder/chest. Petkovic pushes the Trabzon player back and the referee hands Petkovic a straight red.

Game was over at that point.
