The permutations

Nothing election-wise today you'll be pleased to hear.

I've finally managed to figure out all the permutations of results needed for us to finish the season on Sunday with a spot in the UEFA Cup. We'll, I didn't figure it out myself but instead found the picture you can see which is from some (unnamed) Turkish newspaper and which I have nicked from a Gencler fans website called Alkaralar.

For those who don't know Turkish, galip=win, berabere=draw and maglup=loss.

Basically, we are all supporting Istanbul teams this weekend. We need Besiktas and Galatasaray to win. Then, of course we need to win also. All the matches kick-off at the same time.

See you on Sunday at the Chopin, 5.p.m, for the 7 p.m. kickoff.

  1. Well well supporting Galatasaray. It might become a habit you know!!!!

  2. It would be more accurate to say we are hoping for Kayseri to lose, rather than Galatasaray to win, even if it means the same thing.

Supporting Galatasaray is habit forming? Never !

  3. Good try Gulay !!!

This is top secret information.... Oz Kanka is now seriously considering joining Eski Kanka in the ANTI-ISTANBUL Brigade !!! However, before that happens, he has to agree to wear an Ankaragucu top next season !!! Mmmmmm, now that is definitely worth a `Kodak Moment` don't you think ???!!!

All the best to Gencler tomorra from Eski Kanka Jim

  7. Yes, you did it Gulay......and grudging congratulations to CimBom for hanging in there when all seemed lost.

Fener showed that they are good at shooting themselves in the foot at Manisa and again at Denizli.

All the best from Eski Kanka Jim

  8. Thanks and at least the various supported Ankara teams stayed up. I think this is the most remarkable championship Cimbom have achieved given the on and off field issues.

Anyway on to the World Cup!
